Today a rumor has been circling around that Google and HTC are teaming up to create a Tablet PC that could rival the Apple iPad. According to the Download Squad Blog, the Google tablet will run the Google Chrome OS and should be available for purchase by November 26th, which is the biggest shopping day of the year commonly known as “Black Friday”.
According to the report, “the device could be based on NVidia’s Tegra 2 platform and sport a 1280×720 multitouch display, 2GB of RAM, minimum 32GB SSD, WiFi/Bluetooth/LTE connectivity, GPS, webcam, and possibly expandable storage via a multi-card reader.”
It is also speculated that the Google Tablet will be pushed by a 3G service from Verizon and will be substantially cheaper than the Apple iPad.
