If you have been keeping up with our past articles, then you probably noticed that we like to do articles on the stupid criminals who get caught trying to steal the Apple iPads.

Well now I have some good news for all of the iPad owners out there. A company called Maclocks has created a type of iPad case that will secure your iPad to a table or desk, so that thieves can’t easily swipe your prized Apple possession.

The iPad lock is actually a case that holds a heard clear plastic frame with a slot on the side for attaching a lock. The lock can then be safely secured to a tablet or desk so that intruders can’t easily walk off with your iPad. Maclocks says that if you secured your Apple tablet correctly with their new case, that it is impossible to remove the iPad without actually damaging the device in the process.

So if you are looking for a new way to protect your expensive investment and all of the personal information that you have stored, then you should check out the Maclock iPad case. You can purchase the case from the company’s website for only $40

-Here are reasons that Maclocks says you should protect your iPad:

  • You’ve spent a small fortune on something that has become invaluable to you. So why not spend a fraction of that cost to protect it? You lock up your car, don’t you?
  • You store valuable information on your iPad and it automatically logs into your e-mail accounts, social networks and maybe even financial accounts. Do you really want someone walking away with all that?
  • Computer theft is said to affect nine out of 10 companies; IT managers have estimated that 45% of thefts would be prevented if a lock were deployed.

  • Seems like a good product, but horrible custom service. I called customer service three times, took a week to get a response. Their product did not work for our application, they charge a 25% restocking fee. Buyers beware.
