Guitar players rejoice, a company called Sonoma Wire Works has just created a way for to connect your favorite tablet to your instrument.
These days, there a numerous apps and accessories for iPad and all iOS devices that allow musicians to take advantage of their music talents. That being said, Sonoma definitely has their work cut out for them in this highly competitive iOS music market.
GuitarJack 2 hooks directly into the iPad and includes a ¼” input, and a 1/8th input and output ports. The outside casing is a sleek looking hard-shell that can hook up directly to most iPads without having to remove that special designer case you house it in. According to the spokesperson at Guitar jack who stated that “We are the first device-powered iOS accessory that offers stereo recording, simultaneous voice and instrument recording, 60 dB of continuous level control, configurable Pad, Lo-Z and Hi-Z modes, and increased drive for headphones.”
The GuitarJack Model 2 is the first music accessory for the iPad that offers stereo quality voice and instrument recording features. The Sonoma website states the GuitarJack is on sale for $150, so you can purchase directly from their website. It states that it will be fully compatible with any iOS device.
