AutoDesk launches the AutoCAD engineering software for the iPad

The company that brought you the mega powerful 3D design and engineering software “AutoCAD” has announced they will be releasing a version of their software for the iPad, iPhone and Mac computers. The company, AutoDesk, has made their AutoCAD software a house hold name to millions of engineers and architects around the globe. The AutoCAD software will include a free version of the software for mobile devices like the iPad and iPhone dubbed “AutoCAD WS” that will allow users to easily review, edit and share AutoCAD files. The company says the AutoCAD version for the Mac OS X will be a fully functional version of their popular Windows software and should sale for around $4k, which is the same cost of the Windows version.

This announcement comes just in time as Apple is trying to gain exposure on a more professional level and get more developers to consider using the Mac OS instead of Windows.
